Cedar Point and Chapel Hill Resort Dog Policy

Cedar Point does not permit any pets other than dogs in the cabins

  • Pets must be under your control and always leashed. The leash may not be more than 6-feet long (unless prior approval). Pets must be leashed so they cannot reach other RVs or cabins. Campground pets must remain in the campground, your pet can leave the campground only when you are taking it for a walk on the road.
  • Cabins with pets: If your pet is staying in a cabin with you, a credit card must be on file. You are responsible for any damage to our cabin or property (blankets, furniture, doors, carpet).
  • Protecting beds and furniture: We have older sheets and comforters available for you to use to protect our beds and furniture. Please ask, and we will be glad to provide them.
  • Restricted areas: Pets are not allowed in the pool area, beach/swim area, playground, and docks (unless prior approval).
  • Supervision: Do not leave your pet outside unattended.
  • Pontoon rentals: Pets are not allowed on our pontoon rentals.
  • Noise control: Watch your dog’s barking to ensure other guests are not disturbed. If we receive complaints, we will ask you to take your dog to a private kennel.
  • Cleaning up after your pet: A shovel is provided at the dog-walk (at the entrance of the resort) for you to clean up after your pet. Please deposit waste in the trash can. We can also provide a dog scoop if needed. If resort personnel or guests clean up after your dog, charges will apply.
  • Kennel requirement: You must bring a dog kennel with you. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the cabin unless kenneled.
  • Responsibility: Campers are fully responsible for their pets.
  • Day guests: If you have day guests at your cabin or RV site, their pets are not allowed at our resort.
  • Furniture and beds: Pets staying in our cabins are not allowed on our furniture or beds.
  • Removal policy: Cedar Point Resort reserves the right to request that your pet be removed from the property and taken to a private kennel at any time.
    • Reasons may include but are not limited to: aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs, excessive barking, being left unattended and roaming free in your cabin, failure to clean up after your pet, and consistently being off-leash when outside.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that Cedar Point Resort remains a pleasant and enjoyable place for all our guests. Thank you!
